BCCS is an Independent Charitable company

We provide a free and totally confidential Multi-Faith Chaplaincy service to all court users

Our staff: We employ 2 part time Chaplains (1 Christian and 1 Muslim) a Support and Development Officer. Paid staff work with a team of fully trained Volunteers.

Our project is innovative and unique: It is the only full-time, multi-faith, independent Court Chaplaincy in the UK. We are the only Court Chaplaincy to have a team of trained volunteers.

Our clients include: defendants, their families & supporters, prosecutors, advocates, JPs, HMCS staff & security staff.

We offer multi-faith practical and spiritual support to anyone at court (irrespective of race, culture, creed (including people of no faith), special needs or orientation).

Location: We work in the Bradford Magistrate's Court where approximately 32,000 criminal cases are dealt with each year. The site is shared with Her Majesty's Coroner who deals with several hundred full inquests each year.

Management: The project is managed by our Founder Members and Members under the direction of our Trustees.
