HOW YOU CAN HELP

BCCS is an Independent Charitable company

We provide a free and totally confidential Multi-Faith Chaplaincy service to all court users

Our staff: We employ 2 part time Chaplains (1 Christian and 1 Muslim) a Support and Development Officer. Paid staff work with a team of fully trained Volunteers.

You can help by:

  • Making a donation - Every penny we receive is used very carefully. Our Trustees and Volunteers give a great deal of time and expertise because they believe our service is vital and life changing. Christians may wish to make a special donation during Lent and Muslims may wish to consider BCCS for Zakat during the Holy month of Ramadan.(Link to donation form)
  • Gift Aid Please make sure that you Gift Aid your donation to increase its value. For every £1 you give we can claim back an extra 25p at no cost to you (28p with the current "top up" allowed by HMRC).
  • Becoming a Chaplaincy volunteer (Link to poster)
  • Offering your services or advice in other ways. You can help keep down our costs by offering your goods and services free or at discounted prices (e.g. stationery, office and computer equipment etc.)
  • If you are a solicitor you could offer to write a will at no charge, provided it contains a legacy to BCCS.
  • Leaving a Legacy Remembering the good work of BCCS when you make your Will
  • Praying for us Although we have some people of no faith on our team, most of us believe in the power of prayer.

What your gift can do
£7 will cover a Volunteers expenses for a whole session

(Many volunteers do not claim this allowance but we need to be in a position to offer it).
